Traditional Chinese Medicine in Yangshuo
Traditional Chinese medicine uses a combination of herbs, hot cupping, special teas, acupuncture and massage to cure and protect the body from illness. To diagnose illness a Chinese doctor will look at your eyes, face, nails, hands and hair to discern the state of your body’s Qi (energy) and Xue (blood). Creating and maintaining a balance between Yin and Yang is also a goal in
tai chi and Chinese medicine.

Also the doctor will check your tongue and its coating to observe the Qi of your organs. The location and nature of a disease can be recognized by feeling the pulse. There are many forms of Chinese medicine.ACUPUNCTURE Traditional acupuncture is based on flow of Qi (energy) and Xue (blood) through distinct meridians or pathways that cover the body somewhat like the nerves and blood vessels. According to ancient theory, acupuncture allows Qi to flow to areas where it is deficient and away from where it is in excess. In this way, acupuncture regulates and restores the harmonious energetic balance of the body. Acupuncture can also be combined with localized heart treatment to further the healing effect. RELAXATION MASSAGE Relieves stress, headaches and tension. This massage will refresh and invigorate you.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGEIn Chinese medicine, this is a classical technique that balances the elements of Yin and Yang using the manipulation of specific vital points. This type of massage is appropriate for various injuries and ailments. HOT CUPPING This treatment utilizes glass or bamboo cups with a small torch to promote suction. The cups are placed on the body in specific areas to draw Qi to the desired area. FOOT REFLEXOLOGY A type of therapeutic massage that draws Qi and Xue to the feet. A very beneficial treatment for those with poor circulation.
