Fubo Hill
Fubo Hill (Wave-Subduing Hill) is in the north-east of Guilin by
the Li River.
Half of the hill stretches into the Li River and the rest is on land. The hill breaks up what are sometimes strong currents, particularly in the rainy season. The view from the top of the hill sees the scenery of Guilin spread out beneath you.

On the southern slope of the Hill you can find Returned Pearl Cave. One thousand year old images of Buddha 1000 are etched into the wall of the cave. Many of these images date from the Song and Tang Dynasties.

You can also see Mifu’s self-portrait. He was a famous painter and calligraphist in the Song dynasty. Other carvings include a poem by A famous poet named Fan Dacheng who was also from the Song Dynasty.
"Try the Sword" Rock is also quite visually striking. The legend says the emperor cut what was originally a stone pillar to test his sword, leaving a crevice.
