Fuli
Fuli is a small town about 8 kilometers east of Yangshuo, famed for its idyllic riverside location and the manufacture of paper fans. The town is over 800 years old. Nowadays, it is divided into two very distinct parts. The main road to Guandong Province runs through the new part, whereas the pld part is tucked away down on the Li riverbank. The old town has many charming traditional houses and you can also get a feel for the lifestyles of the local people here. The town also has a market held on any day of the month that ends in 1, 4 or 7.

The Town Market
The town is around 20 minutes away from Yangshuo by car and there are small, local buses that go there regularly from Yangshuo bus station. However, the best way to get there is by bicycle along the minor road that leads to the Li Riverbank. You can cross over to the old town here on a small wooden boat.
The boats regularly go back and forth across the river, so you only usually have to wait for a few minutes. You can cross over with your bicycle and leave at the 3 sisters café next to the jetty. This is a great place to have a bite to eat and enjoy the tranquil setting.
