Guilin Buses - Connecting with Yangshuo, Local Towns and other Major Travel Destinations

Buses between Guilin and Yangshuo and other local Buses

Buses go regularly between Guilin train station and Yangshuo bus station. The journey time is usually about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The Guilin and Yangshuo bus stations also operate a similar connecting service. Both of these stations provide local buses to and from local cities and towns.

Airport Connections

There is also a shuttle bus between Guilin City and the International airport which is about 40 minutes away. This is free if you have a flight ticket. This bus picks up and drops off guests from many of the main hotels in Guilin. You can take a bus from Guilin to Yangshuo and the take the shuttle bus to the airport.

Taxi

You can also take a taxi to the airport if you are staying anywhere in Guilin or Yangshuo. It takes around around 1 hour and 40 minutes from Yangshuo and 40 minutes from Guilin.

Long Distance Sleeper Buses

Yangshuo has no airport or train station. However, there are sleeper busese that run from the bus station connecting the town with Shenzhen, Guangzou and Zhujia. The road to Guandong Province (namely Guangzou and Shenzhen) is not in very good condition, so the journey can be uncomfortable.

A new expressway should open next year. This will allow easier road travel between Guandong and Guilin /Yangshuo. Buses will always pass Yangshuo although the service is based in Guilin.
