Guilin Flights



Guilin Internantional Airport

Guilin flights are operated by many airlines flying to and from Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (KWL). These Guilin flights are link with cities all over Mainland China and Asia in general. Free shuttle buses also connect the airport with the city.


Flights to and from other countries (plus principalities) include:

Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore.

If you are arriving from a location outside Asia, you will usually have to fly into one of the major Cities in China. People visiting Southern China often fly into Hong Kong, Shenzhen or Guangzou and then catch connecting Guilin flights. Connections with Beijing and Shang Hai are possible.

Other Alternatives



A cheaper option is to travel from Hong Kong to Shenzhen Int Airport in mainland China and catch a flight to Guilin. There are 4 ways to do this. They are listed below and ranked according to level of convenience:


Turbo Jet (1) When in Hong Kong, you can buy a turbo jet high speed ferry to a small port near Shenzhen airport. A free shuttle bus will take you to the airport to catch a connecting flight to Guilin. You can book you flight and ferry tickets together at a Hong Kong travel agency or book online.

(2) You can catch a bus over the border to Shenzhen airport from Hong Kong or Kowloon. You can book this online or with a travel agent in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong MTR Map (3) From Hong Kong take the MTR (Subway) to Lo Wu. Cross over the border to Shenzhen and then catch a connecting bus to the airport to catch your flight to Guilin.

(4) You can now take the train from Hung Hom in Hong Kong to Guangzhou for about HK$200. You will need to travel from the East Guangzhou Railway Station to Guangzou international airport.

Shenzhen- There are regular flights from Shenzhen to Guilin running throughout the day.

Guangzou- There are many regular flights from Guangzou to Guilin.


Flights to Guilin from other Asian Countries



Thailand

Bangkok Air has now started regular direct flights from Bangkok to Guilin. Air Asia do offer cheaper flights, but to Shenzhen and Macau.

Malaysia

Airasia has flown directly from Malaysia to Guilin 3 times a week since October 2008.


Other Internantional Flights



From Australia or New Zealand

You can catch a flight to Hong Kong, Shanghai or Guangzhou and then get a connecting flight to Guilin.

From Europe and America

You can take a flight to Hong Kong,Shanghai or Beijing and then take a connecting flight to Guilin. There are usually some good return ticket deals if you fly into Hong Kong. Flights from Hong Kong to Guilin go every day and take about 1 hour.
