Longsheng Hot Springs
The Longsheng Hot Springs resort is located around 132 kilometres to the northwest of Guilin. Dense forestry and its mountainside location make it an attractive and scenic place to rest and recharge your batteries.
There are actually sixteen hot springs with a water temperature that varies from from 45 C (113 F) to 58 C (136 F). Bathing in the springs is said to bring many health benefits as well as offering medicinal relief for those suffering from conditions like rheumatism or forms of heart trouble. Also, it can be beneficial to those suffering from skin conditions. This is of course a culturally rich area too with a variety of ethnic minorities located in the region such as the Zhuang, Miao, Dong and Yao groups. The resort also includes the Hot Springs hotel which has a range of facilities and is rated 4 star. The resort is about one and a half hours away by car from the famous
Longsheng Rice Terraces
and about two hours away by bus.
