Silver Cave in Yangshuo
Silver Cave is located just off the road to Lipu. It is only about 85km from Guilin and 25 km to Yangshuo. You can catch a local bus there or take a private car which will take around 30 minutes. You can also cycle there which will take about an hour. The area surrounding the cave has a small lake surrounded by peach trees. There are restaurants and modern amenities as this has been designated a scenic area to cater for tourists.
The cave boats an impressive array of stalactites and stalagmites and other unusually shaped limestone formations. These were formed in different geological periods. These are illuminated by coloured lights in an attempt to highlight the different contours and texture of the rock.
