West Street
West Street (Xi Jie) is the central hub of Yangshuo. It’s a thriving cosmopolitan blend of cafes, restaurants and bars serving a variety of Chinese and Western food. Lots of people end up staying around this Street and Yangshuo for a while to take a break from being on the road. It’s the ideal area to take a break and recharge, since a lot of western comforts are available

The Street is lined with small shops and street vendors selling a variety of snacks and souvenirs. English is widely spoken here and the town itself has become a centre for studying English in China.
The street was built during the Sui Dynasty in 590. The traditional buildings now house a multi-cultural blend of café culture, giving it the feel of an international centre.
One end of
West street ends at the Li River.
Tourists arrive at a pier further down the river and then make their way to the hotels and restaurants.
