Yangshuo Cycling Tour: 5 days

Difficulty Level: Moderate

Day 1: Before we begin the Yangshuo cycling tour, We’ll meet you in Guilin airport and take you straight to your hotel in Yangshuo in our private car. You can relax and settle in before undertaking some more extensive exercise.

Day 2: We’ll drive to Xingping and then hike from Xingping to Yangdi. This is the most beautiful part of the Li River.

Distance: 25 km.

Duration: 5-6 hours.

Itinerary: We’ll drive to Xingping from Yangshuo in the morning and then explore the ancient town which is over 1000 years old. We’ll then start hiking from Xingping to Yangdi which takes us along the river where you can view some beautiful countryside and buffalo grazing nearby.

We’ll have lunch in a small village on the way. When we arrive at Yangdi at approx 3pm, we’ll take a fishing boat or bamboo boat down to Xingping which will take 2 and a half hours. This will give a more sedate and relaxing view of the riverside scenery. We can also watch the impressive sunset. We’ll head back to Yangshuo by car in the late evening.

Duration: 5-6 hours

Route: Yangshuo----Yima----Xiatan Village----Jiuxing Village----Cross the bridge along the Yulong River----Chaoyang Bridge----Moon Hill----Longmeng Village----Siliu Village----Yonchu Village----Aishan Hill----Yangshuo.

Itinerary: We’ll meet in the hotel at 8:30 am and then continue the Yangshuo cycling tour on the main road to Yima which will take 15 minutes. We’ll then take a countryside path and head to Jiuxing village which is over 1400 years old. There are some nice views of the landscape here.

We’ll then cross a bridge over the Yulong River. We’ll take a countryside road where the terrain is a little bumpy, but we’ll be getting away from other tourists.

About an hour later we’ll arrive at Moon Hill. We’ll climb the 800 steps to the top where we’ll have a spectacular panoramic view of the area. We’ll then have lunch at a farmhouse restaurant near the foot of the hill.

We can then continue on the Yangshuo cycling tour along a countryside road past Longmeng Village and Siliu Village. The trail from Siliu to Aishan Hill has some difficult terrain, but it is off the beaten track. We’ll then cycle back to Yangshuo in the evening where we’ll stay the night.

Day 4: We’ll cycle along the Li River and enjoy the spectacular karst landscape.

Distance: 40 km

Duration: 6-7 hours

Route: Yangshuo----Tianjiahe----Mushan Village----Shutong Hill----Liugong Village----Moon Hill----Aishan Hill----Yangshuo

Itinerary: We’ll meet in the hotel at 8:30 and cycle from Yangshuo to Tianiahe village. We’ll be heading along countryside paths for the whole day. The terrain will be a little bumpy.

After enjoying the view of the famous Shutong Hill on the Li River, we’ll arrive in Liugong Village which is one of the most famous riverside villages. We’ll need to climb up a slope behind the village to get a great view looking out at the village and the Li River. We’ll have lunch in the village.

We’ll then cycle 15 km to Moon Hill. At times, we’ll have to get off our bikes because of the rough terrain. We’ll then relax and take a short break before eventually climbing up to the top of the hill to enjoy a breathtaking, panoramic view of the area. We’ll then head back down and cycle back along the main road to Yangshuo Town.

Day 5: We will transfer you to the airport in our private car. Other activities for this day really depend on your time of departure. If you have a later flight you can take a tai chi or cooking class or take a massage.
