Yangshuo Park
Yangshuo Park is located in the western part of the town. There are several hills in the park, one of which has a particularly good view of the town and a small pagoda. There are some good photo opportunities here. There are steps that wind up to the top. Make sure to take your time, since the footing can be a little precarious at times. The park has recently been refurbished and now and now includes a children’s’ play area which is suitable for young children under the age of nine. Now there is also no entrance fee.

Locals take a rest in the shade of the many osmanthus trees and play cards. Others practice taichi and it’s also not unusual to see people practicing traditional dance. English students also meet here to study and are always happy to talk to foreign tourists. The town's ever-growing popularity has led to its status as an English learning centre, so these students will be very grateful for even just a moment of your time. This kind of cultural exchange can also be very rewarding and good fun. The park is great for an afternoon stroll while also providing an insightful glimpse into the lives of the local people.
