Yangshuo Cycling Tour: 4 Days
Difficulty Level: Easy to moderate.
Day 1- Before starting the
Yangshuo,
cycling tour, we’ll meet you in
Guilin
airport and take you directly to your hotel in Yangshuo by private car. If you arrive early, we can explore the town which is a mixture of cosmopolitan shops and cafes and traditional Chinese buildings.Day 2- We’ll cycle out to the
Yulong River
where we’ll pass paddy fields and see the rural lifestyle of the local people. This is a real highlight of any Yangshuo cycling tour. We’ll have lunch in a farmhouse restaurant. Distance: Approx 40 km. Duration: 6-7 hours. Route: Yangshuo----Baisha----Fuli Bridge----Yulong Bridge----Jiuxin Village----Xinglong----Chaoyang Village----Yima----Big Banyan Tree----Moon Hill----Yon Village----Ai Hill Village----Yangshuo.

Itinerary: We’ll meet you in the hotel at 8:30 am and cycle along the main road to Baisha for about an hour. We’ll stop off and visit the fruit market in the town which is the largest in the Yangshuo area. We’ll take a left turn off the main street in Baisha and head straight for 20 minutes. We’ll take another left turn along a small path that leads past many small villages. After continuing for around another 20 minutes, we’ll reach Fuli Bridge which is over 600 hundred years old. This area is off the beaten track away from where most tourists go. It is also a very serene and scenic area. We’ll then cycle to the Yulong Bridge which is equally as old and there are also several ancient villages in this area. We’ll continue on to Jiuxin Village which is over 1400 years old. The buildings are traditional and the setting is beautiful. We’ll have lunch here in a farmhouse restaurant. After a short break, we’ll head to Chaoyang Village. The stretch of the river that we head along is particularly beautiful here. After crossing Yimi Bridge we’ll arrive at the
Moon Hill
scenic area near the
Big Banyan Tree.
After taking a few photos, we’ll turn left from the main road along a countryside path and pass through several villages on the way back to Yangshuo. Day 3: We’ll cycle for the whole morning and then take a Li River cruise in the evening along the most beautiful stretch of the Li River. Distance: 18 km. Duration: 2 and a half hours. Route: Yangshuo----Fuli----Cross the Li River by boat---- Dutou Village----Silong Village----Mushan Village----Yangshuo Note: In the early evening we will go to Xingping by minivan and then take a boat cruise to Yangdi before then returning to Yangshuo. Itinerary: We’ll meet you at the hotel at 8:30 am and cycle across Yangshuo Bridge. The view from here affords a beautiful view of
Green Lotus Hill.
We’ll head along the main road to
Fuli Town
which will take around an hour. This town is famous for its painters and traditional fans. We’ll stop off at the house of a local expert, who will show us how they make the fans. We’ll then take a fishing boat across the
Li River
to Dutou Village. We’ll cycle from here to Mushan Village. It’ll take us around 30 minutes to cycle from here back to Yangshuo Town. We’ll then take a rest and have lunch. In the afternoon at around 3pm, we’ll take our minivan to
Xingping.
We’ll then take a bamboo boat or a fishing boat from Xingping to
Yangdi.
We can then relax and enjoy the sunset and then head back to Yangshuo. Day 4: We will transfer you to the airport by private car. The plan for this day depends on your departure time. If you have a later flight, we can organise one of several activities for you such as a
cooking
or
tai chi
class,
swimming
or a massage.
